Running socks are designed in such a way that it provides you full comfort during running. Running socks not only wick the moisture but also give you stability. Do not wear cotton socks during running because cotton socks absorb moisture which can cause your feet to develop blisters.
For long distance Marathon runners, and tri athletes running socks are best for them. The benefit of running socks is that it will avoid blistering. Running socks are created with two lightweight and moisture wicking materials which prevent blistering. It absorbs the friction between the layers and avoids blistering. The inner layer wicks the moisture away from the foot and into the outer layer for evaporation and keep the feet dry.
If you wear you good socks but it gets blisters then you need a different pair of shoes. You may also use vaseline or another running lubricant on blister prone areas.
